This End-User Privacy Notice explains how QlessQ collects and processes your personal information on behalf of the business or organization you are visiting (the "Organization") when you use our queuing or booking service.
1. Our Role (Data Processor)
QlessQ acts as a service provider (data processor). We process your data based on instructions from the Organization (the data controller). For privacy requests about your queue or appointment data, contact the Organization directly; QlessQ supports the Organization in responding.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to facilitate your queue or appointment, which may include your name, phone number (if you opt-in to SMS), email, and details about your visit. We collect this data when you enter it into a kiosk, booking page, or when the Organization enters it on your behalf.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information strictly to provide the queuing and scheduling service: calculating wait times, sending you notifications (if requested), and displaying your status to the Organization. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use your personal information to train external third-party AI models. Limited operational processing may occur through contracted service providers that help us run and support the platform, under confidentiality and data-protection terms agreed with the Organization.
4. Marketing and CRM Data Usage
If you explicitly opt-in to marketing communications, we will share your contact information with the Organization for marketing and promotional purposes. The Organization may use secure customer relationship management (CRM) tools provided by QlessQ to manage these communications on their behalf. You can revoke this consent at any time.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data as needed to provide the service to the Organization and to meet legal, security, and audit obligations. Retention is managed through platform defaults and Organization-directed support actions. The Organization is responsible for selecting retention practices that meet applicable law (including Canadian requirements where applicable).
6. Service Providers
We use contracted service providers to operate the Service, such as hosting infrastructure and messaging delivery for SMS or email notifications you request. These providers process information only as needed to deliver the Service and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. The Organization may review QlessQ's processor disclosures, including subprocessors used to operate the platform, through agreements with QlessQ.
7. Support and Corrections
If the Organization asks us to investigate, correct, or update information about your queue or appointment, we process that information as a service provider acting on the Organization's instructions. Contact the Organization first with privacy questions or correction requests; we assist the Organization in responding.
